Time's Traveler Apology

 

If i could travel 

Back in time

I would say it once

Would say it again

That you’re mine

Sometimes i would

Not set up 

What’s not true

Only to

Hold you through

The things, 

 I have wronged

And mea culpa 

Having been waiting 

Since longed

My demeanor 

Angered you the most

And so I am looking

Back & forth

To make you laugh the most

Maybe if not yesterday

Then perhaps today

Or even after 

Day after today

You could find a 

Place 

And bestow me

With with your

 loving grace

& so I am

Diving into

Our chaotic past

& in future

Our love shall last

For if time was river

& it flows one way

 I’ll swim upstream 

Just to hear you say We’ll stay
