Iago – Othello’s “friend” and COO, obsessed with climbing the corporate ladder, master of shady TikTok schemes, with zero filter on Instagram DMs.
Cassio – The ultra-awkward, perfectionist project manager with a “nice guy” energy that makes him Desi’s accidental wingman.
Emilia – Iago’s sister, a sharp-tongued barista/blogger who secretly knows all the tea but keeps her sarcasm as her shield.
Plot: Modern, Comical Retake
Act 1: The Startup Launch
Othello is hyped—his new dating app startup, “HeartLink,” just got viral. He meets Desi at a co-working space; she’s reviewing cafés for her vlogs. They immediately bond over their love for overpriced lattes and ironic memes. Desi jokingly says, “You’re tall, dark, and… startup-y. Swipe right?”
Cue: instant couple vibes.
Act 2: The Office Gossip
Iago, jealous that Othello promoted Cassio over him (again), decides to stir trouble. He slides into Othello’s DMs with fake “evidence” that Desi is secretly flirting with Cassio on social media.
Instagram Stories: misinterpreted memes.
DM screenshots: totally out-of-context emojis.
Othello, trusting Iago, panics. His text messages become increasingly dramatic:
“Desi… we need to talk. NOW. 🚨💔”
Meanwhile, Desi is clueless, livestreaming her day, completely unaware of Othello’s emotional meltdown.
Act 3: The Influencer “Spy”
Iago recruits Emilia to casually mention Cassio’s “crush” on Desi while they’re at a café. Emilia drops sarcastic hints like:
“Cassio’s latest TikTok… hmm, looks like someone’s shipping themselves with Desi 😂”
Othello sees this, spirals, and starts checking every story, post, and comment like a detective from a bad true-crime docuseries.
Act 4: The Comical Misunderstanding
Othello confronts Desi live—literally—during one of her vlog shoots.
Othello: “You’ve been texting him! He’s sending heart emojis!”
Desi: “That’s my nephew, and that emoji is from a group chat about pizza toppings!”
Chaos ensues. Iago tries to “save” his plan, but slips on a latte and spills coffee on Cassio—classic slapstick.
Act 5: The Resolution
Desi finally pulls out her phone and shows Othello: all the DMs and memes are innocent.
Iago gets exposed in the most modern way possible: a viral TikTok of him dramatically confessing his mischief goes trending. He tries to blame “algorithms,” but no one buys it.
Othello and Desi laugh at the absurdity, post a joint TikTok: “Love is real, but DMs lie.” Cassio awkwardly joins in with a thumbs-up. Emilia takes the shot, captioning it: “Office drama? More like content gold.”
