A Guarding Angel

A small soft light

Up my way

On my dark murky

Passage way

Picking & stroking me

Gently

While pebbles came

Striking my way

Once I feared

The darkness the most

& yet here slowly

Fear is dissipating away

Not loud, not fierce

Just steady and warm

A borrowed courage

Resting in my palm

As i learn to trust

From hush of night

Each breath in gratitude

Like how shadow turn to light

Of others walking

Beside me

Trembling and stumbling

& yet here i hold

Beacon to light up alley

I believe there might be

A guarding angel

In disguise

For how else can I

Walk so steadily

Through the dark and murky alley
