Ken Sean: Poem
Waiting for my train
Standing at a subway
I met a passerby
A rodent guy
Promises unfulfilled
Dream withheld
Fantasy broken
Tears withheld
A name tag hung
On his chest
& on his shoulder
The weight of unrest
His joy concealed
in simple peace
No gushing
But rather in soft release
Looking at his
Bawling heart
I felt the universe
Quietly take the part
As the train
Arrived for me
He stays behind
Like a mystery
In glimpse
Of his despair
I left a note of
In warmth of that air
Hoping it reach him
Somehow, somewhere
