My WIde Wings: Poem
Unfurling my wide white Wings
I take my flight to high Winds
The land took commotion though
But the sky is rough too… I know
I pause for a while
& thought for while
Maybe taking siege was never my territory
But in aiming high lied my victory
For storms may tear and clouds may hide,
Yet courage blooms on the other side.
The earth may whisper, “Stay with me,”
But my soul was born for the sea of sky — free.
So I rise, not for glory, but for grace,
Leaving fear behind in its fading trace.
For every wound the wind may bring,
Still teaches me how to truly sing.
